Data Protection and Lawful Use

Organizer Responsibility

The Organizer acknowledges and agrees that it is solely responsible for ensuring that its collection, use, disclosure, storage, and processing of attendee and event-related personal information complies with all applicable data protection and privacy laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which the event is conducted.

Applicable Laws

Such laws may include, but are not limited to:

• The Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of the Republic of Ghana
• The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union, where applicable
• The United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), where applicable
• Any other applicable national, regional, or international data protection laws governing the Organizer's activities

Consents and Lawful Bases

The Organizer warrants that it has obtained all necessary consents, permissions, notices, and lawful bases required for the collection and processing of personal data provided to or processed through the ConnectApp platform.

Organizer Obligations

The Organizer further agrees that:

• Personal information obtained through the Platform shall only be used for legitimate event-related purposes, including event registration, attendee communications, networking activities, scientific programme administration, and sponsorship engagements expressly consented to by attendees.
• The Organizer shall not sell, rent, transfer, disclose, or otherwise exploit attendee information for unauthorized marketing, commercial solicitation, or any purpose unrelated to the event without obtaining the appropriate legal basis or explicit consent.
• The Organizer shall implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal data received from the Platform against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
• The Organizer shall promptly notify ConnectApp of any suspected or actual data breach involving information processed through the Platform that may impact attendees or the services provided by ConnectApp.

Indemnification

The Organizer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless ConnectApp and Dreauit Business and Solutions from any claims, liabilities, penalties, fines, or damages arising from the Organizer's failure to comply with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
